Abstract

In order to demonstrate socially responsibility and sustainability over time, universities need to identify their context and make connections with it, training professionals who are interested in what is happening around them to generate debate about how to meet these demands. Using a qualitative approach and focus groups, we asked participants to describe the importance of putting into practice theoretical knowledge of topics of interest to the community, which is equivalent to respecting and ensuring respect for rights, which is what we here call university citizenship.
